"When I first started drawing as a young child, I filled sketchbook after sketchbook with drawings of horses. I soon learned to draw other animals as well, and my love of drawing animals created my interest in art.
Now, years later, I still enjoy painting animals, but they are not my only interest. I have become fascinated with rendering light. Light is a force that transforms whatever it touches, both in the physical sense, and the metaphysical.
Light dances, bounces, reflects and leaps. It warms, reveals and explains forms. I must confess, I am hooked. I don't know what my paintings will be about ten years from now, but right now they are about my delight and fascination with light and color.
My paintings are not difficult to understand, nor do they make a political statement or provoke deep thought; they are simply an expression of that which brings me joy. I hope in some small way, they can do the same for you. Then I will have accomplished what I hoped for."
