Upon taking up residence in Barriere in 2001, Bob joined the
Yellowhead Artists' Co-operative, working in watercolour
landscapes. He has been an active participant in the
annual Candlelight and Holly arts and crafts sale, and has
exhibited in the semi-annual Kamloops art shows at St.
Andrews Church. In addition, Bob has attended a number
of workshops with such noted artists as Tom Lynch, Jack
Reid, Marilyn Timms, Gordon Henschel and Gordon
MacKenzie.
Bob was born in Ottawa in 1935 and started his art
career while a teenager attending Ottawa Technical High
School. He initially worked in oils and did not switch yo
watercolour painting until much later in life. He is now a
devotee of pein aire painting, spending many happy hours
outdoors sketching and painting with his fellow Yellowhead
artists.
